Red Work & A Give Away!

I'm here! I'm here!
It's my day to show you what I've stitched
with the marvelous patterns provided by

Both of my pillows were designs by
Debbie Martinez.
I took "creative liberty" and changed
a few details from the original pattern.

I pulled the red print from my stash.
And of course, I had to add polka dots.
Both, in the fabric and quilting.

Finished with little
"Granny ruffles" on the backs.

I also stitched up these adorable kids
from Madame Samm.

But just ran out of time!

To share my love of
red work I'm having a Give Away!

A few of my favorite things.

 One yard Kona Cotton Snow
 Black Frixion Pen
 One Red #12 Perle Cotton
Nature's Beauty Red work book
Just leave a comment.
The winner will be picked
Saturday morning.

Let's keep hopping!

Thank You Jane and MadameSamm
for all your hard work in organizing
this hop!

Winner! Winner!

Thanks for the 150 comments!
The Blog Hop response was overwhelming.
I have a lot of visits to return in the next few weeks.
Thanks also for the FB likes.

 Random.Org has spoken.

The winners are:

AND

BOTH favored the coral color.
No problem.
I just happened to have extra yardage.
****
I'd like to leave you with a few Spring
Butterflies.

The inside muslin piece was from a "rescued" top
I found at a flea market.
The pieced border and pink fabric are my additions.

Each butterfly is hand embroidered.

And her black feather stitch between the blocks
really adds to the quilt.
Don't you think?
I used black rickrack in the border
 to mimic her stitching.
I quilted "swirly" behind the butterflies
to give them movement.
Can you tell this is one of my favorites?

I hope warmer weather is heading your way.
And mine.
