I'm always able to find beautiful treasures at low prices.
A perfect reason to go.

I wish my embroidery backs looked that nice.

Our friend, Peggy Sue, (from Sacramento) came to
visit for a few days and went with us.
She was thrilled with the treasure hunt.
Now just to fit her purchases in her suitcase.

Here are a couple new recipes I made.
Click on the recipe to enlarge and print.
Mike put the pork roast in the crock pot
Sunday morning at 5:30 (we left at 6 a.m.).
It smelled heavenly when we walked back in the house
after a long 6 hour day of treasure hunting.

 I made the dessert.
Layered Strawberry Chocolate Cheesecake.
To
 die
 for.

Served the pulled pork sandwiches
with Oriental coleslaw.
Yummm.......

More company coming this week.
My Dad from Las Vegas
and baby brother & SIL from CA.
Aunts, Uncles & cousins from MI.
A houseful!

Planning a BIG old fashion
family picnic Sunday.
Great Grandpa has 4 new grandbabies to meet.
Six altogether.
Can't wait.

Happy 4th of July!!!!

I'm Back!

Up and running again.
Oh how I missed my computer.
But I sure got a lot done!
Didn't realize how much time each day I spend
checking emails, blogs, and surfing.

Last weekend the 3 grandbabies came for a visit.
Talk about active.
I just wish the weather had cooperated.
But they made due.

Here are a few customer quilts I finished up.

Peggy's quilt for a new nephew.
Love the pieced back.

This next quilt is called Amish Mistake.
Kathie chose beautiful fabrics.

Notice that hint of pink & lavender?
Perfect with the greens.
And again a pieced back.

Hard to see the quilting.
Here's a close up on the black fabric.
The green thread really pops!

And Kathleen's Home for the Holidays.

 Block Detail

Hard to see the quilting.

Trust me, it is beautiful!
The pattern is a Keepsake Quilting BOM.

I've been stitching on my Birdie June block.

Spending time outside on the front porch.
Drinking ice tea with hubby.

Have a great weekend!
I'll be back soon.

Lightening Strikes

and the thunder rolled.
Major storm, last Wednesday, fried my computer.
I am at the library now.
Could not go one more day
 without checking my emails
and blog friends.
Will be up and running again by the end of the week.
Yes, my computer was shut down.
Yes, it was plugged into a surge protector.
Did not know you must unplug it from the wall
 to be completely safe.
An expensive lesson to learn.

Hope to be back in
Blogland SOON!

Summer Love

Finally, it feels like summer.

And looks like summer.

Bird Feeders out.

 Planters filled.
Baskets hung.

 Flag flying.
Oh happy day!
**************

Here is the May Birdee BOM.
I know, I'm a little late.
June is already posted.
I'm going to catch up soon.
Since last weekend I pulled a tendon in my foot
and have been sitting with an ice pack.
Poop, I hate getting old!
But, I'm fun to look at-wobble-wobble-wobble.

 **************

Have you seen what's going on over at Kelly's?

It looks like fun.
Be sure and check it out.
