A Quick Gift Idea

It won't be long until we'll be looking for
quick gift ideas for the holidays.
I'm thinking these would look soooo cute along with a plate
of holiday goodies.

From the "Dollar Bins" at JoAnn's.
There are 2 dish towels in each pack for $2.50.
Plus they have pot holders to match. Same price.

Look what a difference a little fabric and rick rack makes.
Think I might add red rick rack around
the pot holders
as well.

Have you baked your first loaves of pumpkin bread yet?
Pumpkin bread. A sure sign of Autumn.
It's rainy and damp today
a perfect excuse to heat up the oven.
I'm having a heck of a time finding
canned pumpkin in the stores.

Are you?

The reason I love this recipe
not only is it yummy
but it makes 3 loaves!

And speaking of yummy recipes.
I went to the Fall Festival at church and bought a bag of books for $4.00.
What a bargain!
Of course, I filled my bag with old cookbooks.
The oldest from 1936.
I love to just sit and go thru them
looking for hand written notes.

I love community cookbooks!

While catching up with some blog friends I found the cleverest idea
I have ever-ever-ever seen on organizing sewing projects.
Check it out and see for yourself.
Rae Ann at Stash Manicure is sew dang smart!
I wonder if Sam's Club would carry these containers?
We don't go out to eat much. Hmmmm

Going to play Grandma for a few days next week.
Son is out of town for work and
Mama needs extra hands.
Can't wait for those "grandbaby kisses".
Quilts and trick or treat bags to show
next week.

Hugs,
