Vintage Finish

I just finished binding two of my vintage finds.
I know, I know, how can I stand having a quilt on my lap in this heat?
Well, I just can't sit and watch TV empty handed.
I feel like I'm wasting my time.
Of course, unless it's an "edge of your seat" thriller
which hasn't happened in a l-o-n-g time.

Remember this pink beauty?
Bound it "scrappy" to complement the blocks.

Here she is all quilted and washed.
Love the wrinkled look the 100% cotton backing and batting give it.
And that Bubble Gum Pink!

This is my latest "conversation print" quilt.
I'm calling them "conversation print" quilts
because there's just so much to talk about when you look close.
See the variety of fabrics?
Bet you can find one that you just love.....

The squares are 1 1/2 inches each.
I added red polka dot binding to make it a even happier quilt.
Again, machine washed and dried for that vintage feel.

Heading out of town this weekend to visit my oldest son and his family.
Three of my grandbabies have birthdays this month.
That's one BIG cake.
