BUTTERFLY LOVE

Butterfly Quilts......my favorite
The muslin center of this quilt is vintage. The black lines are embroidered feather stitches.
I added the reproduction prints, pink fabric and black rick rack.
This vintage muslin quilt is a beauty.
Notice all the different shades of muslin in the background?
I washed it after quilting to get that wrinkled look.

Red Rick Rack Butterflies
Made by me from all new reproduction prints.
Notice the quilted butterflies in the background?

This is a vintage beauty. That orange just pops.

All new reproductions fabrics. Made by me.

I found the vintage butterfly blocks at an antique shop.
I set them with a small green print.
Love the traditional Baptist Fan border.

We are off to Tomah to visit the grand kids this weekend.
Hubby is golfing with "the boys" and I'm "catching up" with a dear friend.
Lunch and a little antiquing.....what more could a girl want?
Maybe I'll find another butterfly top to quilt!

Have a great weekend.

  2. What beautiful quilts. I love old quilts and have several. One is 100 years old. I cherish it. I wish I had one with butterflies, maybe that will be my next search!!
